First Day of Winter

According to the calendar, today is the first day of winter. Here’s a few creatures that showed up on this unusually warm winter day.

Several turtles came up to bask in the warmth of the day, including this Yellow-bellied Slider.
One of three Red-shouldered Hawks that put on an aerial display over the outdoor exhibits, “Is it breeding season already?”
