GBH and more Fall Colors

Great blue herons (GBHs) are not as regular visitors as they once were, so it’s nice to see one in our wetlands.

Splash for a fish or tadpole.
Comes up empty.

Things are changing rapidly. Seasonal colors peak and fall. Don’t miss it.

Redwood leaves change.
By the end of the week, deep orange foliage of dawn redwood.
Maples always please.
Maple.
Wind-borne groundsel tree seed dispersal.
Fall colors reflected on the calm water’s surface.

Don’t miss a minute of it.
