Photos of a handful of flowers and leps which can currently be seen as you stroll the Museum’s grounds.

Coral or Trumpet Honeysuckle. Note the perfoliate leaves.
Dwarf Witch Hazel, or Fothergilla.
Red Buckeye.
Juniper Hairstreak on Viburnum.
Red-banded Hairstreak on Viburnum.
Silver-spotted Skipper on, you guessed it, Viburnum.
Looking a bit ragged, a Mourning Cloak, also on Viburnum.

And one beetle that typically doesn’t show up till mid-April.

Virginia or Sculptured Pine Borer (Chalcophora virginiensis) (about 1.2 inches).

Go out and see what you can find!
