The two sliders were just off the Main Wetlands Overlook. One might think from their situation that space was limited on the log that they chose to perch upon. There were no other turtles present.

I wonder how he got up there!
He climbed up there! But, I think the question is why, when there was plenty of unoccupied space on the log next to the other slider. The higher you are the better the view. Notice the outstretched necks on both sliders, helps to see what might be sneaking up on you.
