Jordan Lake Eagles

Just checked the Jordan Lake Eagle Cam and there are two eggs in the nest. When I first tuned in the eagle was not on the nest, the two eggs were clearly visible. There is now and adult brooding (not dwelling gloomily on something but incubating). http://www.ustream.tv/jordanlakeeagles https://www.facebook.com/JordanLakeEagleCam Enjoy!Read more

Speaking of Eagles

Anyone wanting to find out what the nesting Jordan Lake Bald Eagles are up to can do so at the Jordan Lake EagleCam. You’ll have to sit through an ad or wait about 30 seconds staring at the screen before the live camera kicks in but if the eagle is present, it’s worth it. That particular video shows a brief battleRead more

Two eggs were deposited in the nest sometime between December 2-8 and are being incubated at this time. The link to the camera has changed and is now: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/jordan-lake-eaglecam You’ll have to watch a brief ad before you can see the nest, but it doesn’t lastRead more

Live Eagle Cam

For those interested in raptors, large raptors, there is a live feed to a nesting Bald Eagle at Jordan Lake (Chatham County, NC). The camera is directly above the nest. I was just now (9:17 AM, 1/22/11) watching the adult tend to the chicks. At this time there are pieces of fish on the edge of the nest. The adult just now sat down on the two very small, downy, but nearly naked chicks (must be cold up in thatRead more
