Top Photo: Eastern bluebird eggs.

All but two nest boxes are empty. Of the two that are active, only one is truly active having bluebird eggs within. The other hasn’t been touched in weeks.

The Cow Pasture nest has a smattering of twigs placed in the box weeks ago by a house wren but is currently inactive.

The Explore the Wild, Sailboat Pond, Into the Mist, and PKE nest boxes are all empty with no nest material of any kind.

The five eggs which were in the nest box at PKW are still in the nest and the female bluebird was incubating them during the inspection.

So that’s it, one active nest with five bluebird eggs. I expect the Parking Deck West (PKW) nest to have five nestlings by next week’s inspection. But it’s ultimately up to the birds and nature to determine what happens next.
